Searching Computer Code
A new specialized search capability from Google Labs is the Google Code Search, in beta. Unlike regular Web searching, the Code Search allows truncation with the asterisk (*) and regular expression searching, but it is only searching across identified programming code source like JavaScript and Perl. According to the announcement, it is designed to give "programmers a single place to search publicly accessible source code."
It has some specialized field searches including file:, package:, language:, and license:.
